Tony Buzan, inventor of the Mind Map, passes away

We were struck with tragic news yesterday as we learned that Tony Buzan, the man who developed and then popularised the technique of mind mapping, has passed away.

Tony was an expert on the brain and memory, best selling author, renowned speaker and government consultant. He invented the mind mapping technique based on his own understanding of how the brain actually works, which is not in linear ways (from left to right or from top to bottom) but in all directions at once. Using the mind mapping technique, you are able to make an overview of what you are actually thinking then and there, as opposed to finding a beginning first (linear) which is not always easy to do.

Tony was also an avid speaker and spoke at Incitement Italy.

Our thoughts are with Tony’s family, friends and colleagues around the world.
